I upgraded to power mirrors on my 03 F250 from 1A Auto and couldn’t be happier. The directions they give you to upgrade are excellent. Just mount a switch , run wires, and find 12v power.
They come with lifetime warranty and I had to replace mine after 4 years. Process was easy for replacement! Almost Amazon-like. They can be costly but they are worth it! I have to open and close mirrors every time I pull in/out of garage so they get used.

My experience has only been on an 03 but even using close in year OEM has been somewhat aggravating to say the least.
The panes are the same size between the busted up originals & like new replacements but I can't get the same view as it appears the curvature is different, not to mention completely different harnesses.
Might be worth looking at a truck which is being parted out & seeing if you're comfortable with how things look before pulling the switch.

The power and signal wires go thru the pillar connectors, the pins you need are unpopulated and no wiring exists under the dash or in the doors. So your going to need the wiring harness in the doors, the door skins and switches, and the cross dash harness. This replaces the entire pillar connectors also. Its not impossible but it aint easy.
