I'm wondering if it's even possible this could still work before I'd go through the trouble of trying it. It doesn't look like it's ever been plugged in. If it's worth a try and did work what could I seal the crack with ?
It will probably work. I would not worry about it. A little thin smear of silicone would seal it back up. That looks like a very old box that had the black wiring connector? That's how you identify what you have, by the wiring connector color right where it's mounted to the box.
I know older post but I had a blue wire pull box leak the sealant out all over the inner fender of my 81 F100 and still worked.
I replaced it because I did not like it making a mess down the inner fender and onto my garage floor.
I keep it as a back up just in case.
