Power Running board problem?

Power Running board problem?
Drivers side running board when parked wont stay up.... when door is shut it goes up...3/4 way... then back down and stays there. When starting to dive it goes up and stays up..... odd... ideas??

Power running boards tend to have a lot of problems especially in the rust belt. They're probably binding and maybe the vibration from driving gets them to go back up.

Thanks! I did the lubrication.....but also found a rock lodged in the hinge.... all good now.... dummy.....
