Trailer brakes when set to zero

Both the 2022s I’ve had will activate the trailer brakes even though set at zero, I have lighter flatdecks that really needs no help when empty so I select 0 and the trailer brakes still activate, I thought was just an issue on my previous 2022 F350 srw cc, but the second does the same???

With the 20-21 i had normally I’d set to 1.0 or so empty but that same setting on the 2022s really activates things. I have 3 flat decks all the same deal so think is definitely the truck.

A zero setting makes the trailer brakes grab enough to be an issue???
Maybe the trailer brakes are set too tight.
How do you have the trailer brakes set to in the dash cluster?

Interesting. I use 3.0 on my empty 18’ trailer and I can barely tell they are working.

With both my F350 and F450 when bringing a loaded trailer to a stop the controller seem to cut the trailer brakes to 0 because I have to drive the brake pedal to the floor..
