Trailer antisway

Does anyone know how this works? Does it apply the trailer brakes to slow you down and stop the swaying? Or the truck brakes? Or both? My truck has the option and hope I never need it. Just would like to know how it works.

It uses the trailer brakes as well as individual wheel brakes on the truck to control sway.
