I'm working on a '93 F150. The blower motor will only run in the highest setting. It will not run in the other 3 lower positions regardless of whether it's set on air conditioning or heater. Does that sound like the switch might be bad? I guess the motor is still good because it runs. Thanks for any help, KS
As Bob mentioned above it is likely the blower resistor.
It is a little 1X2 inch contraption with little wire loops on it. it is screwed with a couple of screws on the heater box near the blower motor. You'll find it at a dealer.
When you remove the resistor module, before placing the new one, remove some of the debris (such as dry leaves etc.) that has likely accumulated in the area of the resistor.

I had the exact same problem with my 89. The fan speed switch on the dash was the culprit. I bought a new one from Advance Auto and it resolved the problem.
