Figuring out the correct yoke

Hey all,

I rebuilt my BW-1356 transfer case complete with all seals and also just had my rear driveshaft re-balanced. After putting it all back together I have a noticeable transfer case oil leak (while driving) coming from the rear transfer case seal that the driveshaft slips into. I was told this is more than likely from a worn slip yoke made from the previous transfer case rear seal (which also leaked).

I pulled the shaft and barely noticed any wear on the yoke in the seal area, but I'm assuming any microscopic scratches may be enough to cause any leaks (attached pics).

I figured that it wouldn't hurt to just replace the yoke, but I wanted to make sure that I'm ordering the correct one. The old slip yoke I pulled off doesn't match the numbers with a new one in any way (possible aftermarket?). I have a 1992 F250 7.3IDI. Here's the one off RockAuto that I think is correct, but not sure...DANA 2310201X https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...13612&jsn=1519

Thanks in advance for any help with this one...

Picture looks like there is some pitting on the slip yoke, that might be enough to cause the leak?
Is there a bushing inside the output section of the 1356? I'm trying to think if I had a similar issue when I rebuilt mine and don't remember if there was a thin brass bushing that supports the yoke. If you didn't replace it, the yoke can wiggle around some and leak.

Hmmm, no brass bushing on my 1356. Just a thick rubber bushing on the output shaft section.

See this:
https://shop.broncograveyard.com/BW1...ctinfo/316478/

It goes inside the tailhousing and supports the shiny part of the yoke at the end, where the worn part of the yoke rides against the rubber seal at the end of the tailhousing.

Ah yes. I know that part. The Transparts Warehouse rebuild kit didn't have that part so we left the original one in there. Hopefully it's not too worn. I think at this point I'll just replace the yoke first as it's much less hassle than tearing back into the transfer case. Crossing my fingers. Thanks for your help...
