I went to the Grand Nationals hoping to get some pictures of how the factory did 53-56 white roofs but I didn't see a single one. Does anyone have any pictures of a factory white roof? Mines not white but I'm not happy with how the bodyshop did mine.
I would agree that they 'missed it by that much.' Check out this old thread of a resto in progress. It's not factory photos, but it is how I recall they're supposed to be. The drip rail is body color, and the two tone break is on the apex of the radius of the body line.
Thanks Wayne. I discussed this with some folks at the Grand Nationals and we sorta figured the gutter should be body color. That would make going up the top of the cab a straight forward job.
My 55 has the custom cab and "should" have been white on the roof after I repainted it.
I initially was leaning towards doing the roof white it until I had my wife do a photoshop version of the white against the atomic orange paint I went with before I painted the cab and it was f-ugly to say the least, so I painted the roof the same color as the main body.
Also did one with black on the roof and the body being atomic orange and that too was not good.
