I recently purchased a 2021 F350 Lariat that had the Air-Rite system on it. I found that it wasn't working. Found the blown fuse and replaced it. It worked great for a day or so and then blew the fuse again. I'm new to the air bag world and really have no idea where to begin looking for the issue. Can anyone give me some guidance?
Sounds like it is pulling too many amps and killing the fuse.
Maybe wiring gauge is inadequate, maybe fuse is too low amperage.
Could be the compressor is over-heating or just going bad.
I just checked the fuse. The fuse was fine. Bumped the wireless remote and it started working. Maybe it has something to do with the remote. Is there a battery for the remote? it has the USB plug.
Mine did that too. It was a bad compressor. Replaced no issues since. I also sealed the new compressor after I bought the new one. Pull the end cap off and put silicone bead on the rim and replaced the cap. Water got into mine and burned it up.
A bad battery in the remote will not blow the fuse in the truck wiring system. It is possible that what was said about the compressor earlier is true, but also possible the new fuse was the fix, and now the battery in the remote is too weak to send a signal to the compressor…
Any charge cable that fits the remote will charge the remote. Do not believe the remote will work at all with the charge cable connected. Wait a few hours or overnight of charging and try the remote again.
