You need air for tools/impact ( I am sure you are not but I am just asking) or big honking horns? VIAIR has a good rep.

I appreciate the info. Gonna be for horns and airing tires and that sort. (Rarely)

Are you looking for engine driven or for electrical ones? Engine driven set up’s produce far more air than most electrical ones. The factory ford York ac compressor makes a really good engine driven air compressor (I have one on my early bronco) and it mounts to factory ac brackets.

I also have this for a portable 12v compressor.

when looking for an 12v compressor look for CFM and amp draw. High pressure (200pis or what not) doesn’t mean much when you are airing up a tire.

What's everyone using for sealing up the fittings when installing. I've used tape, and I've used paste, and I've had minor leaks every time. It's most likely a user issue, but what has everyone found to be effective?

I've see some nice tube bumpers full of compressed air, good idea as is a York set up if running air tools or just to air up off road.

Wrote a few train horns though.
