Pretty basic, 302 auto, ps, but not pb, no a/c truck. 99% rust free except one spot in the bed where it looks like something layer there wet and rusted it out. Been parked since 2020, got it home, fixed some fuel line issues, got it to run, but after idling for about 15 minutes I drove it a block and it died like it was shut off, no crank like the battery was unhooked. Brand new battery was dead this afternoon btw. Solenoid, maybe?

X2 on nice set up and welcome to FTE, and howdy neighbor to the west. Be careful using J hooks and having them on the twin I beam arms and then using the winch to suck it down tight. Yes I can not 100% see what you are hooked to, so just FYI. Sometimes you have to watch them tow guys, they will toss a J hook on a e-brake cable.

Take the alternator off and get it bench tested at the parts house. If truck was running off new battery only and the alt is dead, truck will run until battery dies.

Solenoid replacement is way over rated if it's an oem part. Usually just a bad connection or corroded connections. I think in 50 years of driving Fords I have had 1 bad one and that was one of those stupid round flat looking ones in 1970. AMC used the regular Ford ones also.
