A little background on my truck: it's a 1985 F-150, so if you know anything about that year, it's been a pain trying to find parts. On top of that, it was originally a fuel injected straight six, which was converted to a carb 302 5.0L. A few years ago, I started the process of swapping in a crate motor and quickly realized how in over my head I was. Long story short, I've finally gotten it nearly complete, but the old throttle kickdown no longer fits. I tried buying a new one, but it's not the right one. The new motor I swapped in was a replacement for the carbureted 302, since I figured trying to go back to the fuel injected would be more trouble. It has a Holly carburetor, in case that's important. I'm about as lamen as it gets, so please explain it to me like I'm five, hahaha. Any help anybody can offer would be well appreciated.
