I know its been a couple years since you asked this question, but I was curious how you managed to repair the screen on your ndash? Ive got one that i bought years ago for my 97 7.3 and the touchscreen quit on it a couple years ago. Wish i bought something else, havent been able to get support from dp tuners.

@DP-Tuner is still around, and still a sponsor of FTE, which is why I'm tagging them into this thread, with no notion of what they can or cannot do for your non functioning screen.
Drew Technologies, aka Drew Tech, was the company that developed the DashDaq and DashDaqXL, which are similarly size and function products that the N-Dash was a derivative of, along with private labeled iterations of the same, loadable with tunes.
Drew Technologies pivoted away from OBD port diagnostic and onboard scanning products for consumers, and turned toward bi-directional (SAE J2534) products for professional vehicle service applications, and ultimately toward integration with OEM diagnostic tools. For example, I have Drew Technologies interface software and cabling for use in conjunction with Ford dealership scan tools.
From what I understand, Drew Tech was acquired by, subsumed by, or morphed underneath or into OPUS IVS, a vehicle technology company that develops advanced driver assistance systems.
What I would look for, in your shoes, being stuck with a legacy non-working screen... is to try to find the same hardware by searching DashDaQ, DashDaQ XL, and N-Dash with a working screen, and see if upon disassembly of both your broken device and the working device, the screens can be swapped.
If the working device that you find is identical at board level to the non working device that you have, then perhaps the software and firmware can be copied from one device and transferred to the other. This could be where DP-Tuner might be able to help, even where there might not be any new parts available to repair or service the broken part, without cannibalizing a like kind device... sort of like pick-n-pull.
I seen on a different thread that Newark Electronics makes a new screen. Im going to try that first and if that doesnt work ill see if i can find a used one to take the screen from. Thanks
