Looking to replace the huge aftermarket midship fuel door with a stock bedside fuel port (bedside patch piece w/fuel opening and correct fuel filler neck is in-hand).
I'm looking for the factory dimension from the front edge of the bedside to the center of the fuel opening. Also need the horizontal dimension - I assume its on the same line as the rear fuel opening. Just realized I have the horizontal dimension from the bend in the patch panel,
Thanks

I HAD one in my 76 parts truck and then I cut it out and sold it to a FTE member. Lafermedavid. So ask him for the measurements. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/member.php?u=577764
I even cut him the front repair panel. I guess he had the same large dealership front added gas door.
Well if you get no response in a timely manner, I can hit up my local JY with a tape measure and a camera. And you want a front and rear recessed set up correct?
Thanks Rich!
No dentsides in any JY near me !
All I need is the one dimension : Centerline of midship fuel opening from leading edge of the bed.
see my original photo in post 1- trying to replace the silver square door with the actual recessed opening.

Well if no one steps up with that measurement, I can hit MY local JY that is bound to have 6 or 7 old ones. They use to have anywhere from 70 to 80 dentsides, they are down to 30 or so now...
Still looking for the dimension from the front edge of the DS bedside to the center line of the midship fuel opening (exposed cap style, not fuel doors)
Thanks

Bump.
I'm still in pursuit of the factory dimension from the front edge of the bedside to the centerline of the midship fuel opening.
Prefer it to be a older model i.e gas cap versus gas doors.
Thanks

Oh man where does time go? I am working 1/2 a day Friday and my Ford truck buddy now has a 73 with the set up you need measured. I can go measure fri or sat. How's that? And this time I put a post-it reminder on my lap top corner.
