Hey guys I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here.
I’m getting ready to take my truck to a shop to do some much needed work that I’ve personally been neglecting one of them is the rear main seal.
I’ve been doing my research and looking at some saved bookmarked threads and I’m gonna need some help. Which rear main would you guys suggest I know I’ve read about the engine tech vs the national. Now this is the third rear main that getting replace the first one failed after I rebuilt my six and the one that it currently has started seeping after a couple months and now it just leaves a pretty good sized oil stain on the garage floor. Doesn’t leak while running though but my clutch is suffering pretty good it chatters while trying to engage sometimes I’m sure the clutch material is oil soaked.
You sure it is the seal OR did someone not put thread lock or sealer on the flywheel bolts????
They do go all the way in and will seep oil if not sealed.
Sounds funny that many seals
