You're telling me! You shoulda seen it when the tow truck arrived with my truck to the shop, from the impound yard! It was WORSE than that!
Such a freaking mess...TY For the diagram.
If you break things down to their components & build the parts, sections, etc. you make a system work.
This gen truck fortunately is not "integrated" like a current vehicles are. The systems are "free standing" for the most part & not dependent on something else to work.
You need to acquire a service disc like this, they will have wiring diagrams that allow you to "read" the wiring & be able to tell what circuits do what & what are powered by what fuses & relays.
Others can link different ones.
Most of us here can look under the dash & tell what actually came from Ford & what has been added. It comes pretty quick.
If it were mine, I'd pull the front seats out, lie on my back & start surgically removing all that crap that ain't Ford.
You'll kill something for sure, but you can figure out what it should be & put it back right with the right information.

TY for the link. I will buy this and look at it. It's just when I see wires, all I see is gobbldy gook...I don't know why. At one point just recently as this past Friday, when I started having the alarm issues, I had seriously thought about throwing in the towel and just selling the truck for what I could get out of it...she won't ever be the same as she was before she was stolen. I still feel that way today...
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
There's literally nothing that can't be fixed or replaced.
But if you can't see the end of the journey & imagine the results & satisfaction... it's not worth it.
Leave it alone for a while & come back at it.
Then decide. Good luck.
Problem is, I DO love it. This truck replaced my '12 SD F250 6.7l diesel Lariat my ex fiance stole from me after I left him due to domestic violence. That truck was my baby. He destroyed it. I spent 1.5 yrs in court trying to get my and my son's property back...to no avail. I ended up conducting a civil standby and When I got it back Nov 22nd last yr, he had let the rear end go dry...destroyed the rear diff. It also reeked of cigarette smoke. He ruined it. I didn't have the money to fix it. So, I sold it. Used some of the money from the sale of my diesel to buy this truck...and all was well, until it got stolen. I still feel violated because someone took what wasn't theirs to begin with and ruined this one too.
Nearly everyone I have spoken to has said to sell it. It's not worth dumping more money into it...I am torn. Ppl said why are you emotionally attached to a vehicle....well, I tell them my story about why. They still say it isn't worth fixing. And I am starting to believe them. I have to take a break from it or I am gonna do something I am gonna regret...selling it. I KNOW if I sell, I WILL regret it.
Only thing you can do is learn to look at your situation different & as some would say, "get on the stick" to do the work necessary.
the two 8 pin and 12 pin plugs look like they are for a remote entry and start/security system.
