If you are having electrical bugs, alarm sounding, navigation screen issues, radio issues, blackout on display issue, lag times on radio or touch screen........ LOOK NO FURTHER. It is the APIM module. Ford service repeatedly denied this until they finally acknowledged it. Both my trucks. One started at 30000 miles, and got bad at 37000. The other truck at around 50K miles. Over a grand for one and the other I got them to replace N/C.
I have been having issues with my 2017 F250 platinum 6.7 diesel crew cab, short bed for the past couple of months.
Please let me know if you have had any of these are issues that you experienced.
The problem has progressed to the current conditions: After driving for 10 to 15 minutes (speed doesn't matter it appears) the pre-collision assistance not available, cross traffic system fault show up on the dash. The transmission position and gear disappear off the screen and the wrench shows up on the screen stating to check the owners manual. Usually about 4 to 7 minutes later the transmission position indication and current gear position return on the dash. The wrench indicating service disappears but the cross traffic system is still . About 10 minutes later the dash returns to normal. Also as soon as all this happens the transmission will downshift and in order to obtain highway speeds the tach is up around 2200 as apposed to 1700-1800 at normal cruising highway speed. I'm not sure if that is limp mode or not though. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally I have searched the wiring for potential grounds when this started but now that it seems so regular I am leaning towards a software/component issue,
