New Clockspring Problem

03 F250 CC 7.3
I finally broke down and purchased a rebuilt column. I also know the horn and cruise went out around the same time both at the same time.
Here's my conundrum. The plugs from the new clockspring are different from the ones on my old clockspring. Truck side has a 8 post plug. My new cs has a 6 prong plug. I looked at the old cs plugs and it has a specially designed plug that fits into the 8 prong, using only 6 of the eight.
Solution? Rewire old plug? All help appreciated. BTW the color of wires are entirely different.

So as usual I am answering my own question. The new cs is not designed for my f250. Duuhhhh

Replaced Clock Spring. No improvement. Turned out to be a missing fuse for the horn and repaired cleaned up fuses on the Brake Pressure Switch recall harness.
