trailer socket ground
Anyone know where the ground terminates. At the frame on a 2012? I hooked up to my trailer no lights unless I add a ground. Don't really want to ground through the hitch lol. Its rusty....

I had to re-do my trailer connector on the truck side, and pretty sure just a lead going to frame/chassis ground back in that area. Just make sure to clean all the rust, paint, grime off first. If you have too, move over to an easy access area and use a good self tapping screw though an eyed terminal.
