So I traded my 2015 F350 for a 2022 F350 to find I have to subscribe to navigation, I have a Sync 3 micro chip from an upgrade on that system. Can I use that map on the Sync4 system transferring it to a USB? I really don't want to pay them $80 for what was free on the earlier system. TIA.
Yup, you're SOL on the nav, either pay or use your phone and have a factory nav map that tracks your truck but can't do anything else.
And, the factory nav is so absolutely basic, hardly any decent features compared to an aftermarket dash-top nav.
I paid to have mine work, just so I wouldn't have the nav screen not working, plus I hate android auto, too intrusive IMO.
Welcome to the new world of making more money, about $1 per thousand, then the audacity to charge more for navigation? Fifth SD and likely my last at this rate.

Well I can tell you from experience that with the GM,OnStar app, after the initial 1-month trial you can no longer remote start or lock/unlock your vehicle from your phone, and its $15 per month for those features if you want it. At least FordPass doesn't charge us to use those features.
I think you'll find that all the other manufacturers will be charging way more for their features.

Best to buy yourself a good GPS. It will give much better courage anyway.
