Am looking for an anti-theft devise for a 2017 F-350 with a 6.7, seems I’ve had several attempts on mine. I’d like to know what others are using and if anyone has the Ravelco system.

I don’t have it . Several of my friends do . They are big believers in them . They all live in big city’s with lots of auto theft . It has saved them a few times .

I had the Ravelco installed yesterday. This will be 5th install since 2010.
I am not in the territory of any Ravelco dealer, so I ordered the unit along with instructions for my 2021 F350. In these situations Ravelco provides information for your particular vehicle for you to take to a local installer. My local installer didn’t want to install it because he said the truck’s keys already have a transponder and in them. He didn’t think the Ravelco would add much.
If that is true, I can use the one I ordered for my 2003 Yukon. But what extra security would I get for installing the Ravelco in my F350 ? Anyone know?
I have Ravelco. It’s a must have for me. My friend had his very new ‘21 Lariat Ultimate Tremor stolen a couple of weeks ago at Home Depot. Less than 10-min it was gone. (No Ravelco, just factory anti-theft).
They can be hot wired without the key. With the Ravelco plug out, it’s going nowhere unless they have a big flatbed tow truck, at which point, it was gone anyway.
They can still break in, jack up the steering column, dash or pull out starter button, but they won’t be able to drive it off. Period. Get one. Super cheap given how effective they are (no vehicle with the plug removed has ever been stolen). I do live in a major metro area, but even when at the ranch, I still take it out overnight or if I’m away from the truck out feeding cattle, etc
Not exactly a anti-theft device, but I would suggest to get a DRIVEWAY ALERT (wireless) from Amazon for about $30.00 or so. Mount the two sensors in your driveway and anytime that beam is broken it will send a beep/alert to your (wireless) base station and let you know someone is in your driveway! I take the sensor and base with me when I travel and set up the sensor on my dashboard and the monitor in my hotel room. You will know when someone is in your driveway or space. Just my 2 cents.......

The Ravelco can stop transponder relay attacks and BCM attacks (swaps and add-a-keys). Your local installer does not have a good grasp on the edges of what he knows and doesn't know about security on a Super Duty. You use the Ravelco BECAUSE it has a transponder as it stops drive off theft methods (other than towing).

Can you still remote start from your house with it removed?
Negative. No plug, no start. That’s the only downside as you won’t get that advanced climate control/warm up going. But, in a metro area, it’s worth it to me. I’m in TX where it’s usually hot, so I just start it, roll the windows down for a bit and crank the A/C 😀
Haven't done anyuthing, but I find it interesting that I can find the location of my truck in Ford Pass. Let them steal it. I'll come find them. I'll call the police to come recover the body.

First thing the thieves cut is the factory GPS antenna. After my friend’s truck was stolen a couple of weeks ago, the police officer told us they first
cut the antenna, then drive it off and park it on a side street in front of a house, etc and wait 24 hrs to make sure it doesn’t have a supplemental GPS device like a Lo Jack, etc they can’t see. After 24 hrs, they come back and get it and it’s long gone.
He and I split up with our wives and drive neighborhoods, apartment complexes, etc within 2 miles of the Home Depot, but no luck. Brand new Tremor gone in under 10-minutes after he walked inside. Thieves are awful.
