I have used ethanol blended fuel since 1980. Never had a fuel system issue related to it on any of my OBS trucks.
The only problem I had was in 1982 with the carb floats in my 1974 C20. Those were replaced with the new fangled version. All my other cars and trucks had zero issues with blended fuels.
All three of my OBS trucks never had the crossflow problems. The 1990 F150 I got from my father a few years ago sat in his garage 99% percent of the time for almost 10 years. It also had no crossflow issue. What triggers it is a mystery to be honest, but also seems to happen more often these days.
I just do not buy into the ethanol blended fuel theory at all.

do you recommend replacing the front pump that is now operational due to the internal check valve ?
