Needing some help, have a e99 7.3 6spd. Replaced injectors this weekend and installed a hydra chip.
Truck will not start, i have a wts light and cel comes on with the key but goes away. Looked at codes and it comes with p0603, p0340. Now I know what both of those are. I replaced the cps with a motorcraft one a few weeks ago. I have gotten p0603 whenever I have unhooked the batteries but when I clear the codes they both come right back with the key turned on. Another thing that I have noticed is my fuel pressure gauge shuts off during cranking and comes back on and goes from 40-60psi down to 0. I never noticed if it did this before the injector change and chip install. I have tried starting with icp unplugged with no luck. Have charged the batteries a couple times with no luck. Hpop is full and fuel is on the bowl. Don't know where to look next. Thanks
Can you confirm you have correct tunes on the hydra, is the pcm properly cleaned for good contact with the hydra, confirm you are not in no start position on the hydra.
How many cranking cycles have you done to get the oil rails filled back up after the injector install.
Are your batteries putting out enough cranking volts for pcm to command idm to fire injectors(smoke out tailpipe while cranking)
Right now I'm on my second time charging the batteries and have not seen any smoke from the exhaust. I don't think I'm in the no start position. When I first turned the key on it said 00. I turned it to 04. I thought I cleaned the pcm good enough but maybe not. The truck has evidently had a chip in it before I bought it. Pcm case was modified and I didn't see any silicone on the port but I cleaned it anyways
Would the pcm not being fully cleaned keep generating those codes? I just find it weird that right after messing with the pcm there is a cps code when it was just changed with genuine oem.
In my experience it's never a good idea to change several electrical/electronic things at one time unless absolutely necessary. Start by removing the Hydra, go through the no start chart, if you're going to change anything, change one thing at a time & try again. HTH
Well I removed the pcm again just to double check and reclean the port for the hydra. I noticed a pin that was broken off next to the screw hole. I guess that would be the culprit. Next step is to buy new pcm I'm assuming

Well I got a new pcm from dtc and once I plugged that in the truck cranked for maybe 15-20 seconds and fired up, ran rough and smoked for 30 seconds or so and smoothed right out. Tha KS again fir the help and guidance from everyone
