Hi everyone, I need to convert the MC from a single circuit to a dual circuit MC. The Ford is a 1959 B600 school bus. Ideally the one I’m after will have 4 bolts that mounts to the firewall. It’s a hydro-vac system with frame mounted Midland hydro vac that was rebuilt last year. Any idea on later model Fords that would interface? Maybe a 67-68 F600. Having a heck of a time with this. Note the current system works good but need the safety level increased with the dual circuit. Any help would be appreciated
Mike
Why? If it is a requirement for licensing or insurance, that's one thing.
If it's just because you're worried about the brakes, well that's part of the charm of running a vehicle like this.
You will not find dual systems on '60s trucks.
IIRC, the dual systems with frame mounted hydro-vac boosters use TWO boosters, one for each axle. Otherwise once it hits the hydro-vac, you are back to one system.
I wish I didn’t have too because I want to keep original. I’m transporting 15 adults across Iowa at end of July and liabilities are high if I lose brakes.
