Update; ok so a week ago this past Monday the shop made good standing behind their work and replaced the hi pressure oil line fitting at the head on the drivers side. The second opinions were correct and now after almost two weeks not a bit of a drip. It’s such a relief looking under on the ground and not seeing any signs of leaks.
Next, the entire engine bay needs a good cleaning. There’s residual grime, grease, etc. I understand steam is the way to go over using chemicals and water.
I checked Yelp and found prices anywhere from $150 - $250. One guy quoted $45.
Is steam cleaning the way to go and if so, what should it cost? Also, is it a service that detailers do or who does engine cleaning?
You will probably have to pay for a full truck detail and then they will add a engine detail. Which a engine detail will be most likely double the price of a gas engine due to the simple fact a diesel engine gets much more dirty.
