Hi Yall, newbie here and newbie to Fords, I just bought a Custom, its titled as a 1947, really well done cab and bed on a custom frame, super clean and straight. It has the 47 hood but its been cut off and now fits on an older grille, like a 30's type grille and radiator. I have been trying to firgure out what this nose is from, closest I can find is pontiac. But look closely this is not as rounded, it has that strip down the center, its opening narrows top to bottom, it has a mesh stainless wire, maybe custom? I am stumped but need to restore or replace the grille/mesh. What is this nose/grill from?
Man, that IS a 'frankentruck' (in a good way). Frame looks model A. Can't say on the grill. It does look custom. Just take your pick of screening or expanded metal. At this stage of the game 'original' is irrelevent. Find a material you like and get it in there. Cruising season is just around the corner. Thanks for posting.

I like it you just gave the truck its name. Yeah I was looking at some tube grilles for 80 chevy truck, might buy that and use the 'tubes' to fab up a grille insert. The deal on that nose is, people are going to ask so it would be nice to know what it is.
Kind of looks like the grille shell from a mid-50's Allis-chalmers tractor
Sure looks similar! to some of them tractors, my uncle had an old narrow front end allis when I was a kid.
It also looks like this front end on a 1930 Model A.....I still see differences...
At first I was skeptical about the tractors I can see differences., but I think you guys are right,
since I got the nose off the truck I can see its been widened at the top, and the bottom was once flat like seen below, now it has a pointed bottom like the 32's.
