I had the same exact problem.
My 2007 F150 XL came with only an AM/FM radio After much research I ordered in 2021 from Replacementcorp.com
1 x F150 Mark LT 2004-2008 CD Cassette SAT ready radio NEW (6L3T-18C868-AD-n) = $89.99
Antenna Options Add a white core vehicle to motorola radio adapter

The radio fits perfectly and plays everything, both CDs and cssettes, as well as the radio but as Replacements will tell you you need an antenna adapter. $12 or so.
