I’m in the process of putting my front of the engine back together. And I can’t figure out what bolts go where. I was an idiot and don’t take pictures and I can’t find some stuff on the diagrams in my manual. I had someone more experienced helping me with my timing job and sun started to go down so we put what bolts would fit to let the gasket cure in and I don’t want to take them out until I go to put the proper one in.
First main problem I have:
there is this bracket by the smog pump and harmonic balancer, I will add picture and caption them. But I have 3 possible bolts/studs and 4 washers
Washers/studs and bracket The bolt and the stud are the ones that the bracket goes on. The other two wholes I also need help identifying I don’t remember taking anything out of them.
I have a photo of the water pump bolts, so I know where those go. But these I was in a rush to take out so I could get as much done with the person helping me as I could. So I forgot to take pictures and organize the bolts, the person helping me used a thread chaser on the bolts so they got moved around and then they got put in the garage because it was dark and they needed to leave, so I don’t know which ones which. The stud with the nut on it he told me is for the bracket, that the smog pump goes on. And the 4 washers go to the bolt and stud. Is that bolt in the timing cover the correct one or was the top one a stud as well?
There was another problem I cant remember now, when I remember I’ll edit this post.
