Someone most likely did an E4OD to manual transmission swap and did not change the computer. Not a big issue as long as the MLPS is set to the neutral position.
I'm not sure I just bought it. It was supposedly a farm vehicle and sat for 13 years. That's why it only has 75,000 miles. True or not idk but I bought it. Now Trying to get it all cleaned up and running nicely. But I'm trying to clear the engine codes and I don't know how to clear these codes because I can't fix them because they don't. Pretend that vehicle. I can't get past KOEO, with thoes codes. Could it be a PCM Issue the two bolts that hold the boot on are gone so someone has messed it prior.
The transmission codes are irrelevant other than popping up during the KOEO tests. Perhaps someone swapped in the wrong PCM, hence the codes. Do not sweat it, the engine will run just fine.
The sticker says manual, can I check the pcm to see if it is from another vehicle. I have other issues to diagnose and if that could be a contributing factor it would be nice to know before I start pulling out hair or worse throwing parts at it or even worse taking it to a shop.
As stated before using an automatic computer on a manual truck is not a big deal. Using a computer for a different displacement engine is another story.
