What brand are you guys using when replacing the 02 sensor on the OBS trucks. I've always used Bosch in the past on other vehicles. What was the OEM supplier for Ford back in the day?
About 20 years ago I needed a 02 sensor for my 92 cavalier. Went thru 3 bosch that were bad out the box. Ended up having to find one that was a different brand for it to work. The mechanic could see if they were working with his computer. Maybe it was a fluke but ill never buy another bosch 02 sensor again.
I wish I had of asked this. I just got one a couple weeks ago, a denso. I haven't got it in yet. I've been soaking the old one in pb blaster, she's seized.

Same here. I've been soaking mine as well. 123,000 mile original sensor. Let the games begin this weekend. Good luck Ronnie!

Warm it up a bit, and then smack it a bit, work it back and forth is you get any movement. Heat is also your friend.
A couple guys I spoke with said to use the 7/8 socket with a metal screw type hose clamp around it to keep it from spreading due to the slot for the wires. I have about every kind of socket and wrenches possible so I have multiple directions of attack. Have a new bottle of Mapp gas on hand as well for heating it.
If all that fails Ebay has a whole new Y pipe with a new converter for under $250.
Every 10 minute job is one broken or stuck bolt away from being a 3 day $500 ordeal.
we had the 02 socket on then a piece of pipe on the ratchet handle and were only able to get it to move a little. She's probably been in there 28yrs.
same here. I plugged it back in and ordered this cause I just couldn't get the leverage, but with the offset it dropped down enough, put my 18" pipe on it and turned easily.
