What brand radiator are people running these days since Spectra isn't in the picture anymore?

That's true if $700-800 is in the budget.

Depends, if truck is going to keep going for another 50 years like the original did $800 is only $16 a year or $1.33 a month. I do understand the $800 as being a lot. I need a new radiator for my 78, so just saving since not everyday driver.

I went with a Summit Racing Classic OEM Fit radiator. It is copper/brass and I paid about $550 for it. Looks exactly like the original and works prefect. I highly recommend them.

Recore recommended. Also check ThermoSolutions for a copper brass replacement. Both $700.

Ron Davis, fit like a glove! Even had to put a regular thermostat back in it because it was running to cool with the thermostat with a bypass. By too cool I mean my Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 wouldn’t get up to temp to activate the learn program. Highly recommend the ground kit on all aluminum radiators.

Crazy how much radiators are for a stock appearing replacement.

I paid $588 to have my original radiator completely refurbished with new cores and had an extra core added. I know it depends on the region you're in, the shop you're dealing with, and the sad fact that in the year since I had the work done we've seen even more inflation, but in my opinion it was the best option.

I think that's the choice I'm sticking with. Makes the most sense for me.

I do have to admit that the Ron Davis setup looks really nice. I'm guessing that ain't cheap though.
