Elite Protection

What is Elite Protection at a price of $799 for a 2023 Super Duty? It appears on my Purchase Order.

Probably some bogus dealer add on. Was it on your initial DORA? Don’t pay for it.

A quick skim of Google search results indicated someone called Elite offers ESP/warranty coverage and "Gap" insurance.

Yup. I would pass on that. When I went in to get mine I was very specific and up front, all I wanted to pay for was the truck and the sales tax. I wanted no part of any additional warranties, dealer add ons, gap insurance or anything else they had up their sleeve. Of course though, I did get hit with the dealer fees. It wasn't too much (about $300 IIRC), but more than I should of paid...

I was very disappointed when I picked up my 2022 Lariat, and found out the extended warranty my dealer was offering was from a 3rd party, and not Ford.

I would consider one from Ford, but not a 3rd party.

Luckily, I didn't do either, because I am waiting for a 450 to be built "next week" according to Ford.
