load thump after start up
Within two minutes of starting the motor there is a load thump. I have taken it to the dealer two times and they cannot find anything wrong. The truck will not make the noise and it makes me look like a liar. The mechanic even looked at me weird when I picked up my truck it kinda pissed me off . I am not a mechanic by trade but I can hold my own.

Mountaineer: Mine does the same thing, as I think they all do. It has something to do with the heater box I believe, I read a thread on this and cant remember all the details. But it is a normal thing with these trucks!

Trying having the ac/heater off when you get in the truck. The clunk is as Lenny said has to do with hvac creating a vacum when you start it up. Mine does as well so your not alone.
