The proper year EVTM will have a location guide for such components. It should be found near the bottom of the radiator attached to the wiring harness running left to right, approximately in the center.
Hey, thanks…..I wrote that in a rush, false alarm, thought I was about to be greeting my first Great Grandchild…….that said…this is what I found in my parts labeled 2000 nose….I need to know I’m mounting it properly….for you see this is a 2000 chassis & drive train and electrical…with a 2006 body ….and a 2009 nose
I hear ya….this is my like….10th Econoline…..when ever the horn stops I would clean up the v mount ground bolt and that would fix it….Ford might have recognized that issue as my 09 harness and horns have a 2 wire connection and the horn worked for me as it hung in mid air as I rewired the nose…
That said, anyone know if it mounts to the top rail or bottom rail?? And would that make any difference as long as the arrow points forward and the ground surface is properly prepared??…Thanks,Al
ummm….as I continue to research this the sensor is referred to as a “slider” or has a slider inside it….this could be very important as to weather the arrow is on the top or side, or bottom….the mount has 2 bolt holes and a tab that projects…this says something….can anyone recommend a good manual for this….I have Aldata but …..
This is the best i can get for now. I can try to get you proper pic later today. Custom DIY bumper,2000 e350 7.3 PSD Sensor mounts as you have pictured on this thread, with arrow pointing forward direction.

Way cool…thanks…love that intake…that was my original thought when I moved my battery back, next to the other one…but your picture raises some interesting points for me…if you get a chance…
I googled your climate…Do you monitor your transmission temperature??…that looks like a stock cooler…..Does your fluid run through the air cooler first and then the radiator??…there are many different respectable opinions on this routing and I don’t remember how my Jasper was…(p.o.)…except it was lower, no where near the “optimum “ temperature of a quoted “175*”…
Oil circuit to coolers in 4r100 Crash sensor in stock location. Sensor mounts where the light is spotted. There is a notch in that panel where sensor mounts. I routed a separate grounding wire to the sensor mount.
That cooler is from a 6.0 van, equivalent to stock size.
I got it cheap, fittings are bigger than stock though.
