18” wheels

What are some advantages and disadvantages of going “18”?
I read that they are heavier. What about ride and turning issues?

the turning radius will be slightly less, depending on the width of the tire you use.

as for stability?
don't know,
I have 285/75/R16 All Terrain tires on my truck and hate the damn things.
way the gawd too noisy, they will be gone tomorrow, going to get some Michelin LTX street treads

The diameter of the tire will have more to do with turning radius than the diameter of the rim, by itself. Not counting offset. Can have low pro 18 tires and no rubbing or big tires on 16's and rub. Mostly it's personal preference.

I run 18 inch Harley Davidsons. They actually corner better. Ive not noticed any turning issues. Even the speedometer stays accurate.
