i have a 1958 f100 completely rebuilt 292 y when i tried to prime the oil pump through the distributor end of course the 1\4 in socket came of the extenstion and now is some where inside. i have run a borescope through it from both ends and cannot locate it . it did not come out when i took the oil pump off , where did it go and how do i get it out

It could be stuck between two rods, laying on the bottom of the pan, or in the lifter gallery, try turning the engine easy by hand, if it's hung up someplace it might fall out, but we've found much lager things in the pan bottom.
