5.4 exhaust

5.4 exhaust

Does anyone know how my 5.4 would sound If I used a straight pipe instead of the cat and muffler.I am looking for the dual exhaust sound without spending all the money and time.

I'm not sure how it would sound but you may want to consider emissions laws in your area. You can get a flowmaster on ebay for about $50 bucks then just take out your existing muffler and put the flowmaster with a short down pipe. Just my $.02.

I bought the 40series 3" inlet Dual 2.5 out just haven't installed it yet. I don't mind hearing it in the cab

. You could get the 3" offset inlet / 3" center outlet.

I have the FlowMaster series 40 in my '59 F-100. they are loud! Granted a '59 is scarcely insulated compared to the trucks of today, but just a word to the wise.
