Pre Turbo EGT sensor?

I've been searching high and low, and can't come up with a definitive answer to this question. I posted in the 2011-2016 Super Duty forum and was advised to try here.

2015 F250 Platinum 6.7L CCSB. Is there, or is there not a factory sensor that can monitor temperatures PRE turbo?

If there is, does anyone have the PID for it for Torque Pro? I have the common CSV imported already, but do not see it in the list.

I also have inputted this custom PID:
(0.0004*(((1164.26*(((256*A)+B)*0.00097285))/(4.98-(((256*A)+B)*0.00097285)))*((1164.26*(((256*A)+B)* 0.00097285))/(4.98-(((256*A)+B)*0.00097285)))))+(1.107*((1164.26*(((2 56*A)+B)*0.00097285))/(4.98-(((256*A)+B)*0.00097285))))-237.33
Using hex 22055e, Unit Type C, but it's reading ~1360F sitting at idle, which seems incorrect.

The DPF and entire rest of the exhaust fell off, so those standard 4 sensors are unavailable for me to monitor right now. I had to temporarily install a complete MBRP stainless system from the turbo to the tips, just until I can find that missing DPF.

Appreciate any information! 😉

There is a mass air flow sensor pre turbo. Not familiar with Torque Pro though.

I'm not sure what the Mass Air Flow sensor has to do with Exhaust Gas Temperatures? Sorry if I'm being dense.

Couldn't you use EGR Temp Bank1, Sensor1 or Sensor2? Or perhaps Intake temp?

For my iDash, the sensors are identified as such:

EGR1/1
EGR1/2
IAT
IAT1/1

Unless the EGR sensors are post-turbo, in which case the Intake sensors would be the possible options. If not, and you need something closer to the turbo, then you might have to go with an intake tube that has a bung for adding a sensor. Not that I've ever done so, or have a need for one in my engine...

In any case, I've attached the Banks iDash parameter list, if that might be of any help identifying sensors.

I believe the deleted guys use the EGT sensor in the EGR, not sure which one it is because I know they are two because when I do a regen, I watch the EGTs pre EGR cooler and after. I believe you can buy a

There is a spot on the passenger side top of head where a block off plate goes when the EGR decides to take a vacation. You can use this with the iDash then

I just installed an Edge CTS3 in my 2022 6.7.
It will show 16 gauges and after choosing the ones I wanted, I've still got 2 open spots. Figure the EGT values would be helpful, but there are 4 EGT's listed (EGT1 to EGT4). Would someone let me know the access points of the 4 values and which are the more indicative of the engine status.

I recall that someone posted a diagram of the exhaust system some time ago, showing the locations of the sensors, among all the components, but perhaps that was on a different forum (can't recall exactly).

Try a search of the forum, and see if you have any success. When I get a few minutes I'll do the same, and share results (unless someone else finds the info first).

EGT 1/1 and 1/4 are the best to monitor.

Yep those are what I monitor as well on my 8 PID set up on my iDash...

I have a Regen page I watch as well during active regenerations in which monitor all four plus I monitor EGR 1 and EGR 2.

He said he is deleted. So none of those exist any longer.
The 4 factory sensors are gone.
