Gee I sure love winter...actually I don't mind it but when it goes on, and on, and onnnnn....here in Minneapolis we are now in the top 5 snowiest winters ever, since like 1890. Yep ok it can stop now.
So the other day we had one of those days where stuff was melting, everything all sloppy and wet. Go out to the Ex in the AM for work, everything frozen solid. Doors all unlock fine remotely but door is pretty stuck. I did what I could gently-ish while still trying to get it open and I did...but now when I pull the door handle it is all loose and feels like nothing is attached anymore. G*d d*mmit. So it won't open from the outside, have to open driver rear pass door and reach over and pull the inside handle for the driver door.
Soooo....what is broke and what do I need to fix it? Also we just moved into a new house 2 weeks ago as of today...tools are everywhere, no idea where anything is, perfect timing....DOH!
If it were me, I would order a door handle and have it on hand as most likely the plastic pieces inside are broke. I had to replace mine because someone tried to get into my Excursion and cracked the housing. From what remember the aftermarket handle was $20ish a couple years ago. Mine wasn't color matched so it was an easy swap.
