351W engine build

Hi there.

I am in the process of an engine build (it's my first build so take it easy....) and looking for advice.

I have a 88 351W torn down and currently at the machine shop. Technician says block looks good and cylinders will get a .03 bore and block decked approx .01. Crank and rods also checked out good.

It's actually a marine application and a reverse rotation engine. The camshaft was hard to find so i had the stock cam re-ground to stock specs, hyd flat tappet.

For heads i am looking at edelbrok e-street aluminum heads, 60cc combustion chamber.

I'm looking at pistons now and need some advice. Obviously its not a high performance build, but i want to get the most without detonation issues. It will be run on 91 octane premium. Here are the piston options i am looking at.... any advice from the experts out there? Thanks in advance.

Do you have specs on the cam? If not get them and use it to calculate dynamic compression with all those pistons. You want it to come out to between 8 to 8.5:1: DC
