pilot bearing question

pilot bearing question
Was informed yesterday by a shade tree mechanic that a mustang roller clutch pilot bearing would fit my 63. Is this the case? Anyone hear of this?

If my memory isn't lying the 292 pilot bushing is bigger than anything put in a mustang including an FE. I could be wrong have been before.
