They go in from the front and then the outer cover screws on from the back. Power is a 1 wire w/ 90* coming from the glove box light power source. No glove box light, then use the 3 hole yellow constant 12V plug behind the L/H side of the glove box area. Again welcome back to FTE.

I'm sure you can get a free cigarette lighter assembly, but even finding a dvr side battery tray for cheap is going to be hard to do. But you can get a passenger side and modify it pretty easy to work. I seem to remember you just cut a few tac welds flipped the bracket around and reweld it.

Thanks for the update on your condition. I hope you continue to improve to the point your health matches your positive attitude. Also, thanks for making me clean part of my garage. This is what i found. I have everything but the power wire and the round gizmo that screws on from the back to pinch the assembly to the back of the dash. I searched for two evenings and no luck.
