performance computer chips

Hello

I am just wondering if anyone out there has tried any aftermarket computer chips on there ranger.

There are some impressive claims, you know, pro-street performance with Geo Metro fuel economy.

Here is one of the sites I am thinking of.
http://www.drivetrain.com/fordchipgas.html

If anybody could give me some of their own personal stories it would be greatly appreciated.

1. For $325 they give you less horsepower than a Diablo Sport switch chip.
2. Their chip is not a switch chip.
3. Its an external chip (like a Superchips) which means it won't fit in a Ranger without cutting out the back of the housing the computer box sits it. The Diablo Sport chip fits in the computer box and does not require you to cut out the back of the housing.
4. You need to remove it when going to a dealer, with a switch chip you just switch it off.
5. Its not a 4 bank chip, which means you'll have to get it reprogrammed if your dealer reflashes your computer.

Thanks for the info.

Does this Diablo chip make that much of an improvement over the stock system in terms of fuel economy and or power?
