2015 f250 6.7 washer quit working so got new pump and still not working. Tested new pump and worked old pump was bad. Had wife push the washer button and it lights up the test light. Still wont work. Changed the wiper switch and still wont work.
Lost as to what to do to fix the problem. Anyone else have issues like this.
Are you getting power at the connector for the washer pump when you press the switch in the cab? I’m not sure what yiu mean by wife pushed washer button and lights up the test light. I’m assuming yiu mean that the test light was hooked at the washer pump connector? If yes then the circuit is working to the pump. If the pump doesn’t work when plugged in then check the connector it may not be making contact internally with the connector on the pump itself. Or the circuit isn’t connecting at some point either the fuse switch or wiring.
if pump buzzes when plugged in and the washer switch is activated
disconnect the rubber line and see if the pump pushes out water at the reservoir location
if yes
check the hoses for clogged build up in the lines or at the washer nozzles.
Yes wife activated the switch and yes my test light shows that there is power at the plug. I can not find a fuse that is dedicated to the washer pump. I’m seeing on line it may be same circuit as the washer pump. So I don’t know if that’s true or not. With that being said it is not the fuse. So I’m not sure how to proceed with any other options. The pins look good and the connector looks good. Tried wiggling the wires and the connector to see if it would make any difference but nothing.
As @S-squatch above said. Check your ground. If you have power to the pump and you know for a fact that it's a good pump motor, then it's almost a sure bet it's a bad ground.
How are you checking for power? Are you connecting the clip of the test light to a ground on the car metal body or using the actual wiring to check for power?
remember a lot of circuits use the ground leg as the switch leg and have constant 12 volt power to the accessory. So having 12v power doesn’t mean the circuit is good as far as the switch All that you tested was that the positive side of the circuit is feeding power all the way to the connector.
take the test light and connect it to both pins of the connector on the harness side. One pin should be 12 v the other should be ground. You can also use a electric meter set to 12 volt.
have the wife hit the switch inside. The light should come on or the meter should register 12 volt.
the reason I want you to connect to the actual pins on the wiring harness is because you wanna test the actual circuit and harness wiring. If you connect the test light ground clip to the body you’re not testing half that circuit.
Well I have gone through the process and took everybody’s advice and information which is what I have done so far over and over again and it has checked out to be good to go. BUT—— every time I go and plug in the pump no workie!! I also found out that the pump does not stay on and it times out. So every time I setup the switch to work holding it in with tape and a nut (to make sure it was pushing the button on) and I didn’t have enough time to get my old fat butt back around to test the voltage. I found a way!
long story short I did get it to work and it pumps great.
I believe that the wiring has a bad spot under the battery box. Wiggling the wires made it work again. So when time permits I will pull the battery out and battery box and see if something shows.
Will update when I get a chance to work on that. Going to be awhile until I can.
thanks to all for your help and advice on this matter. I sure appreciate it.

could be corrosion from leaking battery acid over time on the wiring
