When I start it in the AM the truck actually moves while it's still in park. Is this normal? I mean its more of a rock forward slightly. 2022 F350 srw 4x4 reg cab STX 6.2
I have a 350 XL at work, 7.3/4.30/10 spd. I feel it doing that as well. And it also takes a long time between reverse and 1st after backing out.
Once it warms up its fine though.
My own 250, 6.2 with the 6 spd does not do either of these things.
Has not bothered me at all. Once it warms up a bit I still feel like the tranny is a bit jumpy running around empty. One member stated to use eco mode. I tried that. It did skip gears here and there.
I only have 1 oil change on the truck. Overall I think its a great truck so far.
Sometimes heavy duty vehicles are less than perfect empty.
My truck does not move while in park. As with many, it does bump forward when putting it in gear when cold. As noted above, it also takes a second (or two) to change from reverse to forward. I have not ever thought this to be an issue. I have 13k on it now and the transmission has gotten much smoother. It is also much better once it warms up.
Well Guy's I appreciate the responses. My truck has 4300 miles so far and it does seem to delay between Forward and Reverse but the movement when i start it (cold only) seems odd. This is my 6th F350 and none of the other ones ever did this. I'm going to bring it up to the dealer when it goes in for it's first oil change. Thanks Again
