I want to order a kit to add power brakes to my 55 F100 and I would like to do order it now to take advantage of the current prices and shipping opportunities. The truck has a Mustang II front end and a 351 Windsor with an AOD transmission. I think I'm going to go with a firewall mounted unit, mostly because it I think it will give me more room to route the exhaust system and since the engine/trans is not installed yet, it's difficult to imagine how much room I will have under the truck. Any comments here? The second thought is concerning the size of the booster. SInce there are 7, 8, and I believe 9 inch diameter boosters, I'm not sure which would be a better choice. I'm running 4 wheel disc brakes.
Any comments, suggestions, etc, are greatly appreciated.
I skimmed through your build thread, very nice what you have done. When I have bit more time I will go back and read it from beginning to end. Thank you for the reply.
