1978 F150 antenna replacement
Just curious why do you need a removable one, or do you already have the base and just need the threaded on/in antenna part? If that is the situation, you should be able to hit up about any big truck stop with a CB shop and they should have all sorts of options that might work. Test fit in the parking lot.

I would think that a early to late 80 to 96 might work. This what you are looking at? The base looks the same as a 73-79, but not 100% on the cowl shape.

stainless steel mast to point straight up. Did it in the '80s. Still there, works great too. Best view I have in picture form.

The angle of the base is important on your 78. Whichever when you track down, make sure it has that angled base or reuse the one you currently have. I may have an extra somewhere in the parts box.
