I agree, their shipping rates are garbage. I bought several things from them recently. All the parts were fine in terms of quality, but charging shipping based on order value, rather than weight/size/distance, can leave you overpaying. I spent $40 in shipping for a single box weighing about 4 lbs.
However, when I compared LMC to other shops (with more expensive parts but cheaper shipping), LMC still came out on top.

In my last post I forgot to mention Summit Racing. Their free shipping for parts over $100 is a great incentive.

I should also note/mention that LMC has been employing some sneaky, if not underhanded, marketing strategies. For example, they have a new wind-wing assembly (frame, seal, and iirc glass) for sale. Well, lo and behold, the wind-wing seal by itself, has vanished. So, either you buy the whole deal for a far greater cost, or you go to another site. I went to another site, NPD, and got both seals for $60. Oops, their strategy back-fired.
In my experience, LMC's products are of uncertain quality unless they're reselling DC. Sometimes great, sometimes eh, sometimes the parts just plain don't fit and you have to ship them back. They're not the fastest to ship, either.
That said, sometimes they have a crazy fastener or specific steering column part nobody else has.
Has anyone purchased the vent window assemblies from them? Mine are in decent shape structurally, just ugly, but the restoration on them is probably going to be just as expensive as buying all new parts.
