I haven't been on for a long time as we moved away from our original plans and got as a Class C instead. It sits on a 2019 Ford E450 chassis. It's a rugged V10 machine and it works well for us so far.
My bane is, however, the outer tire of the dually. The inner tire as a valve stem extension, but the outer valve points inward and I just cannot reach it and use my Ryobi air compressor (which handles the 80psi fine). I know that there are angled extensions available with some say you can leave them on and other say you cannot. Others take off the hub cab every time they want to check the pressure. And then there's Viair 400P-RV...
What is your experience and your recommendation?
Aren't tire valves essentially (round) rubber plugs stuck in the (round) hole in the wheel? So if you de-pressurized the tire, would you be able to twist it around to point it in the direction you want? In the worst case, you would have to unmount the tire to do that. Worse than that, pull out (destroy) the old one and install a new one with the orientation you need.
Almost any competent tire shop that specializes in big truck, bus or motorhome vehicles would be able to outfit you perfectly. Most dual rear wheel set ups would have permanently installed and serviceable inflation fittings that could be fitted.
