7.3 eating fuel getting about 1/2 mile per gallon

Ok I have a 2001 7.3 200,000 got a bunch of codes replaced icp, ipr, and pcm still getting the p1280 code. Replaced uvch and glo plugs swapped out five injectors put five gallons of fuel and test drove rough idle lots of smoke and I mean fire department level smoke but got one mile turned around drove back all five gallons gone in two miles. I have a magically auto filling oil system cause it was at right level but now is way over full. Any help out there I really want to quit throwing money at this stripper and not even get any happy.

Oh ya did buzz test passed checked wire harness for chafing I'm at my wit's end here help

Your fuel went into your oil

Sounds like injector orings

It's leaking down into the combustion chamber from one or more of the injectors and getting expelled as smoke out the tailpipe. I'm surprised that you don't have a huge fuel knocking sound or diesel runaway symptoms.

And why only swap 5? At that point I would have done all 8 to make sure that there is an even fuel delivery.

Are you monitoring your EGTs? I wouldn't take it out of its parking spot until I got that fixed. Kwikkordead is steering you in the right direction.

Ya would love to but after 6k in the transmission and drive shaft I'm a little on broke side and trying to figure this out I'm on the road and doing this on the fly in a rv park far away from home I need a solution fast and cheap my $$$ is dwindling and I need to get this truck on the road. Is it weird that this happened within 12 hrs after the transmission was replaced?

I would love to do all that and more but I have little to no money at this point I'm looking at some o Ring kits and oil have a spare filter but need to verify that the problem is fixed before I go doing a oil change.plus I'm sure I need a way to drain the hpop so I get as little contamination as possible. I wasn't even able to get new injectors 😔 got a used set for 40$ and a used pcm with them some cleaned up ok others not so much I'm working with what I have here this truck was down for over 6 months trying to find a transmission that didn't cost 6k plus delivery and core charge. A drive shaft and u joints plus 18 qts of transmission fluid and a new filter and gasket I literally just dropped a huge amount of money into the truck last week and a new icp, ipr, under valve cover harness gasket plus hrs apon hrs scanning and labor I'm down to 100$ left and and no problem solved
She's a great little truck when she runs.

Was the problem present before replacing parts?

What sucks it's your far away from home. Did you do the VC pig tails too? Did you seat the injectors all the way in? What what brand of IPR, ICP, CPS?

With that much fuel being dumped into the crank case I would suspect a crack in the head, that's way to much fuel for being a bad injector, you would of hydrolocked before even starting the engine.
